Brought in as a free agent, Uchenna Nwosu found a niche as an edge rusher who lined up next to Darrell Taylor and achieved numerous sacks and hits on the quarterback. In addition to 9.5 sacks, he attained a career-best 66 tackles as well as three forced fumbles, and was selected as a Pro Bowl alternate. What the accomplishments of these players suggest is that the Seahawks have a firm foundation on which to build a 2023 season that gives them the potential to move even deeper into the postseason.

While Seattle’s road to Super Bowl XLVII was tougher, consisting of single-score victories over the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers, the Seahawks finished the season with a decisive 43-8 win over the Denver Broncos, resulting in the franchise’s first NFL championship.

The Seahawks were poised to repeat as Super Bowl champions in 2014 following a 12-4 regular season. However, an interception in the closing seconds of the game resulted in a 28-24 victory for the New England Patriots.
