The 3 Leading Rushers in Seattle Seahawks History

Ian B. Lawson is a Gig Harbor, Washington-based MD who specializes in orthopedic surgery and care. He is board certified in the US and Canada and has more than two decades of experience. Beyond his medical pursuits, Dr. Ian B. Lawson is a fan of the National Football League’s (NFL) Seattle Seahawks.

The Seahawks have had 22 players rush for at least 1,000 yards since the organization’s inception in 1976. Below is a look at its three all-time leaders in that category.

Shaun Alexander
An alumnus of the University of Alabama, Alexander was drafted by the Seahawks 19th overall in the 2000 NFL Draft and spent eight seasons with the team, during which time he accumulated a franchise-best 9,429 rushing yards in 119 games. He also leads the franchise with 100 rushing touchdowns.

Chris Warren
Warren played 123 games for Seattle from 1990 to 1997 and concluded his Seahawks career with 6,706 rushing yards and 44 touchdowns. He averaged 4.3 rushing yards per carry.

Curt Warner
The third overall pick in the 1983 NFL Draft, Warner recorded one less rushing yard (6,705) than Warren but played 30 fewer games for the Seahawks. He recorded a career-best 1,449 rushing yards during his rookie season. Warner also scored 55 touchdowns with Seattle.
